SHADAJ UTSAV 2026 : In the inaugural stage performance of SUR SHADAJ, held on 22 February 2026 at the serene and divine premises of the Buddha Temple, Unit-IX, Bhubaneswar Odisha, an enthralling presentation of Raag Jog was rendered by Shri Chandan Kumar Jena. His soulful rendition, marked by depth, artistry, and impeccable command over the raga, captivated the audience and created a truly mesmerizing musical atmosphere. About the Artist : Guru Shri Chandan Kumar Jena, an esteemed Advisor of SUR SHADAJ, is a distinguished and versatile exponent of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music. He has performed at numerous music festival both within and outside the State, earning widespread acclaim, honours, and awards. He is the recipient of the prestigious Sunanda Pattnaik Samman, the highest musical honour of the State in the category of Hindustani Classical Music under the Odisha Sangeet Natak Academy Awards for the year 2025. Shri Jena has been serving as the Head of the Department of Hindustani Vocal Music at Utkal Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Bhubaneswar where he continues to nurture and inspire generations of aspiring musicians through his dedication, scholarship, and musical excellence.
