Packrafting the John River in the Brooks Range, Alaska
Packrafting the John River between Anaktuvuk and Bettles in the Brooks Range, Alaska with a paraplegic was a real challenge. We started, without really knowing it, at the highest point of a river flood. The water level was incredibly high and after a few days we lost a boat. We had to continue walking and yes that was challenging with crutches ... We asked the plane pilot to add a packraft to our scheduled food drop. We eventually found our boat 10 days down the river. From there on we had a smooth ride back to Bettles. This video is in French with English subtitles.
