On September 25, 2025, the Poitiers Court of Appeal in France heard the case of Ari Boulogne, or more precisely, Ari Boulogne's demand to be recognized as the legitimate son of world-famous actor Alain Delon. This litigation, already extremely complex and confusing, was further complicated by the fact that Ari Boulogne himself died under extremely tragic circumstances more than two years ago. Alain Delon himself died last August, and now the litigation started by Ari Boulogne is being continued by his children. Alain Delon is represented in court by his children, daughter Annushka and sons Anthony and Alain Fabien. To say that the September hearing of the Poitiers Court of Appeal riveted the attention of both the press and millions of Alain Delon fans worldwide is an understatement. Indeed, it was during this hearing that the Poitiers Court of Appeal was supposed to issue its final, irrevocable ruling on whether Ary Boulogne was Alain Delon's legitimate son. This would have brought a final, fat conclusion to this long-running, multi-volume, convoluted, and toxic case, which undoubtedly poisoned the lives of both Alain Delon himself and many of his loved ones for many years. The Poitiers court did a wonderful job, and at the end of the hearing, it did issue its final decision on this contentious case. However, the decision was so unexpected and surprising that both those who supported the theory that Ary Boulogne was Alain Delon's son and those who opposed it were equally disconcerted and even shocked by the decision!
