The Tjuntjuntjara Story
Produced by the community of Tjuntjuntjara, this film provides a rare glimpse into what life is like for staff and community members living in the most remote community in Australia. After 2,000 generations of human occupation in the Great Victoria Desert, the Pila Nguru (Spinifex People) settled in Tjuntjuntjara in the late 1980s. This home of the last nomads is living proof that with strong culture, language and self-determination, positive health, education and vocation outcomes can be achieved.
