CPSC PSA | How to make sure you own safe toys
There are way fewer toy recalls today than there were 10 years ago, but you still need to make sure the toys you buy are safe for kids. 1. Throw away broken toys and avoid giving toys with small parts to small children, especially younger siblings. 2. Buy age appropriate toys - read all labels to make sure toys are safe for your child's age. 3. Always gift safety gear like helmets along with bikes, scooters, skateboards, or other riding toys. Visit CPSC.gov/Recalls to check for recalled toys and if you think you've found an unsafe toy, report it to CPSC on SaferProducts.gov.
