This Weekend in Australia Had Everything… Until the Final Morning?!

Brits in Australia enjoy a Sunshine Coast weekend filled with Peregian Beach, a Lake Weyba picnic, Japanese soufflé pancakes, wildlife and World Cup heartbreak. We start the vlog at home with homemade breakfast wraps and Picco cuddles before heading to Peregian Beach. After grabbing drinks at Salty Mermaid Cafe, we meet Georgia and Jack for lunch at the Peregian Beach Hotel, followed by a beach walk and an ocean swim. The next morning begins with Picco’s adorable reaction to the car wash before we head to Gympie Terrace in Noosaville. We stop at Soufflé Japancakes to try matcha drinks and fluffy matcha Japanese soufflé pancakes before sharing our honest review. The following day, we grab coffee and head to Lake Weyba for a relaxed picnic. We listen to music, play Guess Who, attempt to convince Picco to enter the water and finish with a beautiful walk around the lake. Our final morning starts with England facing Argentina in the World Cup semi-final. We react to the biggest moments before Argentina knock England out of the tournament and Joe shares his thoughts on the result. To lift our spirits, we return to Peregian Beach for food at The Captain’s Daughter, trying barramundi spring rolls, salt and pepper calamari, and a snapper taco with crab sauce. We finish the weekend with a walk through Doonan Creek Environmental Reserve, where we spot our first wild tawny frogmouth.
