On July 3rd, 2015, flight nurse Dave Repsher's helicopter crashed 32 seconds after takeoff. Covered in jet fuel and on fire, he suffered burns over 90% of his body. Doctors did not expect him to survive the night. His wife Amanda, also a nurse, fought to be part of his care team for the nearly year-long recovery that followed.
