1939 Rickenbacher Model 59 Lap Steel Amp Restoration
This video follows the step-by-step restoration of a 1939 Rickenbacher Model 59 Lab Steel Amplifier. The amp arrived in my shop in non-working order, with no available schematic, and an incorrect tube set. All steps of restoration are covered, including research, disassembly, circuit analysis and hand drawing of a schematic, explanation of the schematic, proper tube selection, circuit repair and testing, safety measures, tube testing, and final evaluation. I hope you enjoy it. If you enjoy videos featuring vintage amplifiers, jukeboxes, and exotic electromechanical devices, please subscribe to my channel.
