✅Feel like you don't have time to stretch your hips? Well, do you sit? Try this quick and easy seated hip stretch. 🔹The Seated Figure 4 is an easy way to stretch the posterior hip/glutes. It can also be used to stretch the lateral/side of the hip. To Perform: 1️⃣Sit up nice and tall 2️⃣Pull the knee towards the opposite shoulder until you feel a stretch 3️⃣Hinge through the hips to bring your chest to the knee 💡The stretch can be modified by pulling the knee across the body or by rotating the spine. You can target the TFL and lateral hip by pushing the knee downwards. Not everybody will be able to feel the TFL stretch due to variations of hip anatomy. 🔑Some key points: ➡Make sure to hinge through the hips and to not round the spine. ➡Be sure to keep the leg completely relaxed and focus on slow breathing. 🚫Avoid any "pinching" or "catching" symptoms as well as symptoms that appear to travel down the leg. 🦵We recommend to hold the stretch for around 30 seconds to a 1 minute.
