From Emily Strite, a 33-year-old mother of four who vanished after leaving a home in De Soto, Missouri, to Beatrice Meabon, a 70-year-old grandmother whose killer was finally identified nearly 50 years later… these cases are heartbreaking, disturbing, and unforgettable. 🔎 Featured Cases: 🕵 Emily Strite — De Soto, Missouri On April 12, 2024, Emily Strite spoke to her mother on the phone and said she was planning to go see her children in Cahokia, Illinois. She had been staying in the 900 block of 4th Street in De Soto and was last seen walking toward a local gas station where she typically caught rides. But Emily never made it to her children. Days later, her family realized no one had heard from her, and her mother reported her missing to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. For months, family, friends, and search teams looked for answers. Then, on September 28, 2024, human skeletal remains were found in a wooded area near the 4100 block of Frissell Road in De Soto, just over a mile from where Emily had last been seen. Dental records confirmed the remains belonged to Emily. Because of the condition of her remains, her cause of death could not be determined. Authorities have said they have a person of interest, but as of June 2026, no one has been charged, and Emily’s case remains unsolved. 🕵 Beatrice Meabon — Brant, New York One night in July of 1976, a neighbor found 70-year-old Beatrice Meabon inside her home on Cain Road in the Town of Brant, New York. She had been stabbed multiple times, but she was still conscious when emergency medical personnel arrived. According to surviving EMS witnesses interviewed decades later, Beatrice named her attacker before she died: her own 13-year-old grandson, Richard Fox. But that information was never passed along to police, and her case remained unsolved for 49 years. Decades later, investigators began looking into Richard Fox after he was connected to the murders of Marquita Mull, Cassandra Watson, and Crystal Curthoys. While reviewing his history, they reopened Beatrice’s case, tracked down surviving EMS personnel from 1976, and learned what Beatrice had said before she died. When confronted, Fox admitted to killing his grandmother. But because he was only 13 at the time, and because of New York law in 1976, no charges could be filed in Beatrice’s murder.
