Präsentiert wird eine Turmaufnahme vom Change Ringing in der Washington National Cathedral in Washington DC USA. Das Geläut besteht aus insgesamt 10 Glocken wovon im Video die Glocken 1-6 läuten. Diese Aufnahme entstand nach dem Gottesdienst. Es war Teil von mehreren kleineren Geläuten. Eine Aufnahme mit dem Kompletten Programm wird noch folgen. Das Change Ringing erklingt an Sonn und Feiertagen wenn keine Sommerferien sind um 12:30 Uhr nach dem Gottesdienst. Vor dem Gottesdienst in der Kathedrale erklingt das Carillon ebenfalls im Vierungsturm wo sich das Change Ringing befindet. Die Washington National Cathedral wurde 1990 vollendet nach 83 Jahren Bauzeit. Sie ist die zweitgrößte Kathedrale der USA und die sechst größte Kirche Weltweit. Sie befindet sich knapp 4km vom Stadtzentrum Washingtons entfernt auf einer Anhöhe. Glocke 1: fis² Glocke 2: e² Glocke 3: d² Glocke 4: cis² Glocke 5: h¹ Glocke 6: a¹ Gegossen wurden die Glocken 1962 in London von Mears & Stainbank. Achtung! Beim Change Ringing ist die kleinste Glocke die nummer 1 da mit dieser im Regelfall begonnen wird mit dem Läuten. Die größte Glocke ist der Tenor in dem Fall Glocke nummer 10. Wie viele Glocken geläutet werden hängt davon ab wie viele Bellringer anwesend sind. Da dies ein Hobby und damit ehrenamtlich geschieht, läuten nicht immer alle 10 Glocken. A recording of the complete program will follow. The Change Ringing is played on Sundays and holidays (except during the summer holidays) at 12:30 p.m. after the service.
