Rockhounding The Road to Robbers Roost

Hey there, rockhounds! Kent and Steph here from the Utah Rockhounding Couple channel! We're super excited to take you on another adventure to find some awesome rocks and minerals, and this time, we're heading to a legendary spot in Southern Utah: Robbers Roost! It was in these secluded canyons near Hanksville that Butch Cassidy and his crew actually formed their Wild Bunch gang. If you are wondering, "Why is it called Robbers Roost?" back in the late 1800s and early 1900s, this canyon and the surrounding area was the go-to hideout for the infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy and his "Wild Bunch Gang." After a big heist, this is where they'd meet up, hide out, and stash their weapons. So, while we're exploring this historic area, we're also going to be on the lookout for some colorful Agate and Jasper. There's always something to find when you go rockhounding, so grab your rock hammers and join us for the fun! https://www.blm.gov/visit/robbers-roo...
