Penny's Week 3 Day Train | Golden Retriever Learns Drop It | Best Paw Forward Dog Training

Penny is kicking off week three of her Day Train program at Best Paw Forward Dog Training, and today we focused on building a reliable "drop it" cue! Teaching a dog to willingly release items is an important life skill that helps prevent resource guarding, keeps dogs safe, and makes everyday interactions much easier. Penny did a great job learning that giving up an item doesn't mean the fun is over—it often leads to even better rewards! In today's training session, Penny worked on: 🐾Building the foundations of drop it 🐾 Releasing toys and training items on cue 🐾 Increasing engagement with her handler 🐾 Reinforcing calm, thoughtful decision-making 🐾 Strengthening obedience through positive training Penny continues to make fantastic progress each week, and we're excited to keep building her confidence and reliability as she works through her Day Train program.
