Backpacking & Fly Fishing in Medicine Bow National Forest, Wyoming - The Traveling Tacos

Medicine Bow National Forest is a 2.9 million acre preserve located just outside of Laramie, Wyoming. The Traveling Tacos decides to visit one weekend in July to do a solo backpacking trip with her dog. We arrived at Lake Marie on Friday afternoon and hiked up The Lakes Trail, before setting up camp on the banks of Lookout Lake. Saturday morning was spent fly fishing on Lookout Lake, then, I continued hiking over up The Lakes Trail and decided to go up to the top of Medicine Bow Peak! It was a very short, but extremely scenic hike up to the top.
