Alla scoperta del rifugio BIETTI-BUZZI

On this hike, I'll take you to discover one of the beautiful refuges at the foot of the GRIGNE GROUP, the mountains that overlook the city of Lecco. The starting point is "Cainallo," just above the village of Esino Lario. The trail winds through a beautiful beech forest at first, then crosses to the opposite side, overlooking the lake. This instead follows gravel (not at all dangerous or challenging), with the walls of the southern Grigna for company. The hike from the parking lot to the refuge takes about two hours (easy), but along the way, you'll be so engrossed in admiring the surrounding panorama that you won't even notice the time passing! Along the way, you'll also encounter a huge and rather famous rock formation with an equally enormous natural hole inside it, making it one of the most admired and photographed features: the PORTA DI PRADA. Once you reach the beautiful refuge, where you can enjoy excellent lunches, snacks, or stop (in the warmer months) to relax and sunbathe on the lawn, you can also continue and climb to the summit of GRIGNONE or GRIGNA NORTH at 2,410 meters.
