On Monday, January 26th, I traveled to Valvarrone, a still authentic and little-traveled valley, for a winter video hike from Premana to Casera Vecchia di Varrone, following the evocative "Iron Road." The hike was almost entirely on snow, making crampons essential, especially on the shadier and more frequented sections. A perfect itinerary for those seeking atmosphere, history, and winter landscapes, without climbing to extreme altitudes.
