A Vintage Stella Harmony - A great guitar for dirty slide blues

In this video I wanted to show you my very first guitar, a Stella H-929 vintage Harmony acoustic, a great dirty slide blues guitar. I’ve had this guitar for a long time but only discovered a few years ago what a legendary instrument it actually is. Those guitars were popular guitars among students and beginners but they were also used by many great blues and rock artists such as Lead Belly, Robert Johnson and Kurt Cobain. I talk a bit about the story behind this particular guitar but also about the Stella guitar history which was originally made by the Oscar Schmitd Company before it was taken over by the Harmony Company in Chicago in 1939. My vintage Stella Harmony is quite beat up and is very much in a need of a restoration and I show you all the bits that need to be repaired. It is almost impossible to play like a regular guitar due to a high action but I instead use it mainly for slide playing.
