Small Jobs, Big Impact! Bathroom & Bedroom Prep | Episode 12 House Renovation

In Episode 12 of our 1930s house renovation in the Buckinghamshire countryside, we focus on a collection of smaller but essential jobs that all need finishing before we move on to the next big stage of the build. We start by screeding over a former fireplace hearth, bringing the floor level up and making the room ready for its final finish. Back in the bathroom, we waterproof the shower area, a critical step to ensure everything is properly sealed and ready for tiling. We also fit the window cills, helping the rooms feel more complete, and spend some time sanding the stairs, getting them prepped and ready for finishing later on. None of these jobs are particularly glamorous, but they’re all crucial groundwork. With all this prep out of the way, we’re now lined up for a big week of tiling next week. 🏡 In This Episode: Screeding over an old fireplace hearth Waterproofing the shower area ready for tiling Installing window cills Sanding and prepping the stairs Final prep work before a major tiling phase Continued progress on our 1930s house renovation If you’re enjoying the series, don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe to follow along as the renovation gathers pace. #HouseRenovation #1930sHouse #UKRenovation #BathroomRenovation #Waterproofing #ShowerPrep #Screeding #StairRenovation #SandingStairs #WindowCills #DIYRenovation #HomeImprovement #OldHouseRestoration #Buckinghamshire #RenovationVlog #TilingPrep
