ご視聴ありがとうございます。 特急「宗谷」札幌発・稚内行の右側車窓動画【後編】です。 後編では名寄駅から終着・稚内駅までの約220kmの車窓をお届けします。 名寄駅を出発した列車は、宗谷本線をさらに北上し、美深、音威子府、天塩中川、幌延などを通過しながら、日本最北の駅を目指します。 この区間では、人家や集落が少なくなるにつれて、北海道北部ならではの雄大で原始的な風景が広がります。天塩川に沿って走る渓谷区間や、広大な原野、牧草地、そして日本海に近づくにつれて現れる開放的な景観など、道北ならではの魅力を存分にお楽しみいただけます。 特に幌延以北では、日本最北端の鉄道路線らしい広大なスケールの風景が続き、終盤には利尻島や宗谷丘陵方面を望めることもあります。 日本最北の特急列車として知られる「宗谷」の旅も、いよいよ終盤です。名寄から終着・稚内までの車窓を、どうぞごゆっくりお楽しみください。 【収録区間】 名寄 → 美深 → 音威子府 → 天塩中川 → 幌延 → 南稚内 → 稚内 ※前編では札幌から名寄までの車窓をお届けしています。 Thank you for watching. This is Part 2 of the right-side window view journey aboard the Limited Express Sōya, operating from Sapporo to Wakkanai. Part 2 covers approximately 220 km (137 miles) between Nayoro and the final destination, Wakkanai. After departing from Nayoro, the train continues north along the Sōya Main Line, passing through Bifuka, Otoineppu, Teshio-Nakagawa, and Horonobe as it heads toward Wakkanai, the northernmost railway station in Japan. As the journey progresses, towns and settlements become increasingly sparse, revealing the vast and unspoiled landscapes that are unique to northern Hokkaido. Highlights of this section include the scenic stretches along the Teshio River, expansive wilderness areas, rolling pasturelands, and the open landscapes that emerge as the line approaches the Sea of Japan. Particularly north of Horonobe, the scenery takes on the grand scale that characterizes Japan's northernmost railway route. On clear days, passengers may even catch glimpses of Rishiri Island and the Sōya Hills near the end of the journey. The journey aboard the Sōya, known as Japan's northernmost limited express service, is now approaching its final destination.
