(27 Oct 1983) GS CAS SPECIAL REPORT: GRENADA: The invasion of Grenada by 3000 02118310 troops from the USA and 6 Caribbean countries appears to be 1"VT+BVU successfully completed. The invasion follows a coup in which PM Maurice Bishop and 23 others were killed. Bernard Coard, General Hudson Austin and others of the Revolutionary Military Tribunal who staged the coup, are said to have taken refuge in the Soviet Embassy.
