Ancient & Historical Sher Shah Suri Baoli Stepwell In Dhonkal Of District Wazirabad #tahirshahvlogs

In this video we will show you approximately 500 years old, historical and deserted Baoli Stepwell which is a best pattern of architecture. This Baoli was constructed by Sher Shah Suri in his era in the middle of 16th century. A Baradari was constructed on the top of this Baoli and 2 hidden rooms have been constructed inside this historical Baoli. Why are these rooms constructed? This is a very interesting story. This old Baoli was constructed between 1540 to 1545 on GT Road means Grand Trunk Road. This is one of the oldest road from Asia which is 2000 years old and long. This road remained the source of trade and travel in ancient time that is a reason it is also called a Generally Road. Sher Shah Suri constructed many Baolis, Post Offices, Revenue Chongians, Inns and Qaws Minar on the bank of G T Road. The gardens planted in some areas in which shady and fruitful trees included. Here was a Banyan tree and punishment was given to a person who cut the tree at that era. 22 stairs were constructed to go inside this Baoli. Small bricks, lime and stones were used for the construction of this ancient Baoli. Passengers and the Army Troops came here and drank water from this Baoli. Their animals also drank water from here. A Baradari and rooms were constructed here for the protection from weather conditions. There is also an ancient Mosque here which was constructed by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb Alamgir in 1680.
