It's now March. The cold is easing on the plains, bringing with it the promise of spring, but the winter of 2022 will be brutal. The mountains are still in the depths of winter. After being repeatedly thwarted by wind and snow, I finally made my third summit attempt. That was my story of Mt. Karato (Part 2). This time, I'll be talking about Part 3. My third attempt also ended in failure. My fourth attempt the following morning also failed, leaving me wondering what would happen next. However, Part 3 is the story of a 61-year-old man who shows a little bit of motivation, seriousness, and perseverance in his quest to conquer the impregnable summit of Mt. Karato.
