У Кам’янській виправній колонії відкрили оновлену дільницю первинного перебування засуджених жінок

An updated quarantine, diagnostics and distribution section has been opened in Kamianka Correctional Colony No. 34. This is where convicted women arrive after arriving at the institution for an initial medical examination, psychological diagnostics and adaptation. The first days of stay are an important stage on the way to further resocialization, so creating the right conditions here is of particular importance. ✅Together with the institution's management, a project to update this space was implemented. The city allocated 400 thousand hryvnias in subventions from the city budget for the repair work. As part of the project, modern renovation of the premises was carried out, comfortable living rooms, bathrooms and a dining room were equipped, and appropriate conditions were created for the work of the socio-psychological service. The updated section is designed for the simultaneous stay of 20 people and meets modern European requirements and standards. The opening of the station was attended by the head of the South-Eastern Interregional Department for the Execution of Criminal Sentences, Vitaly Tymoshenko, heads of subordinate institutions of the region, as well as the leadership of the Kamianka Regional Correctional Service. Together, they also unveiled a memorial plaque in honor of the fallen Defender of Ukraine Gennady Shaganenko. For many years, he conscientiously worked in the penitentiary system and after retiring voluntarily stood up for the defense of Ukraine and gave his life for the freedom, independence and future of our state. The Kamianka community has been supporting the correctional colony for many years, helping to implement important infrastructure and social projects. Previously, office premises were renovated here with funds from the city budget, a modern room for telephone conversations was created, and an inclusive department for women with limited mobility and the elderly was opened. I am convinced that proper conditions of detention, respect for human dignity and effective work on resocialization are a necessary component so that convicts have the opportunity to embark on the path of correction and return to a full-fledged life in society. 🇺🇦 #Mayor #Andriy_Bilousov #Kamianske
