Today we put the motorcycle away for a bit because it was time to focus on what's most important in our lives: family and our roots. The whole Bonola family—my dad, my brothers, my wife, my daughter, and me—went hiking in the hills of our beautiful Oaxaca. The plan was simple: to go and find fresh nanches. But honestly, what we went to collect were moments that money can't buy. Seeing my dad hike the hills with his usual wisdom, seeing my daughter discover the land of her grandparents, and feeling the warmth of my brothers under the Oaxacan sun... that's what's truly worthwhile in this life. Sometimes you get tired of the routine, folks, but going back to the mountains with your loved ones cleanses your spirit and reminds you who you are and where you come from.
