Green Tara - Mantra by Chogyal Rinpoche

Syama-Tara (tib. Drol ma) embodies the activity of all Buddhas and protects against the 16 types of fear. She symbolizes our inherent quality of always being ready to jump up and help sentient beings. The two lotus flowers symbolize the constant readiness to liberate all beings - both during the day (fully open flower) and at night (half open flower). The core of the meditation on Green Tara is the praise of the 21 aspects. She is the main form in the power circle of this 21 Taras, which express different facets of her Buddha activity. This practice goes directly back to the historical Buddha Shakyamuni. Green Tara is practiced in all four Tibetan Buddhist traditions. The mantra of the Green Tara is: *ཨོཾ་ཏཱ་རེ་ཏུ་ཏྟཱ་རེ་ཏུ་རེ་སྭཱཧཱ།* OM TARE TUTTARE TURE SOHA Chanting her mantra increases wisdom and is especially praised for wish–fulfilling qualities.
