As part of the festival we featured talks by around 60 Scholars, Sages, and Seekers to share about Shankara’s life, works and influence across multiple dimensions that include Philosophy, Oneness, Leadership and more. On Day 9, Evening session : Shri Gokulmuthu Narayanaswamy spoke on the topic Practical Application of Pancha Kosha Viveka in Everyday Life. Shri Gokulmuthu ji noted that the Panchakosha viveka is one of the prakriyas in the tradition of vedanta. It appears in Taittiriya, Chandogya and other major upanishads. It answers some of the important questions like who am I ? Who is the individual ? Who is the relative individual that I preserve and who is the absolute individual above all this. Gokulmuthu Narayanaswamy is a devotee of Sri Ramakrishna. Most of his understanding of religious, spiritual and philosophical ideas comes from the tradition Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda. His traditional foundation in Vedanta comes from the tradition of Swami Paramarthanandaji. He holds a B.Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IIT Madras, M.Sc (Engg) in Computer Science from IISc Bangalore, and M.A in Philosophy, Religion and Culture from Annamalai University.
