Siem Reap is famous for Angkor Wat — but that’s not what this video is about. Although I live in Phnom Penh, I’ve been coming to Siem Reap regularly for 23 years, and what keeps pulling me back isn’t just the temples. It’s the atmosphere, the river, the food stalls, the night markets, the pace of life, and the little things that make this city feel different from anywhere else in Cambodia. In this video, I take a closer look at the side of Siem Reap that tourists often miss — and why, even after all these years, there’s still something about this place that feels like magic.
