Is Punch okay? 🧡 So many of you have written, worried about the new changes in Punch's routine at Ichikawa City Zoo. Today we look at the rescued fragments of an ordinary day in his new life. And for Punch, an ordinary day is wonderfully wonderful news. In this video we follow Punch, the Japanese macaque, during the third day of the zoo's new feeding protocol. Born in July 2025, Punch was hand-raised by Keeper Shikano and Keeper Miyakoshi after his mother could not care for him. Now the zoo is guiding him toward full integration with the troop: first learning to eat alone, then with the other macaques, always without human contact. From flawless rope acrobatics to greeting Miyakoshi and playing with Moe-Chan, these small moments say one thing. Punch is eating well. Punch is moving.
