ADP 101 Australind railcar driving cab, being delivered to Boyanup Rail and Heritage Centre.

Transwa's ADP / ADQ class Australind railcars are now retired from service, on the Perth to Bunbury passenger train run. Operating from 1987 to 2023. New replacement rail cars are expected to be in service next year, when the Armadale Libe Upgrade is completed. With the kind generous donated support, from the Public Transport Authority (PTA). All 3 of the powered ADP. And 2 of trailer ADQ class rail cars are now preserved. Just one trailer car ADQ 122, still remaining at Picton Depot. This has been donated to the City of Bunbury. For display purposes, in an area outside the original locatioj of Bunbury Train Station. Rail Heritage WA, set about seeking help from local businesses in the area. Asking for assistance with crane lift and road transport of ADP 101. From Aurizon Depot, in Picton to nearby town of Boyanup. Freo Group with their heavy lift cranes. And Piacentini & Son for the road transport both donated their time, with equipment and personnel to shift ADP 101 to it's new home Rail Heritage WA, also received help from the PTA, by providing their rolling stock fitters, who spent some time in removing and reattaching bolts and cables etc, to the bogies underneath ADP 101. Both for lifting on and off Piacentini and Son''s low loader truck. Videoed; Thursday 23 May 2024.
