S1 E8 Gjirokaster, Albania Part 3, Making Raki & Exploding Cucumbers!

Gjirokaster, Albania is the setting for making raki, the fruit brandy that is the preferred distilled spirit in the Balkans. Raki in Albania is distilled one time, much like the French Armagnac. The raki in the video is raki rrush, or grape raki. The exploding cucumbers were a fun discovery on the side of the road in Gjirokaster. An Albanian guy told me that as children they made wire guns to hold the cucumbers and shoot them at each other! I'm a Gen X digital nomad and this is Season 1 of my Albania videos.
