Presented by Amanda Wilkins, NC State University Horticulture Student and Former JCRA Intern Amanda, a senior in horticultural science, is back from a six-month tropical experience to tell us about what she heard and saw as she braved the rainforests of Costa Rica, carted orchids at Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden, and tackled the switchback trails of Hawai'i. You'll meet some new plants, some old favorites, and a few truths about them (Who knew a Schefflera could get that big?). What is a "tico" and why don't native Hawaiians eat pineapple? You'll have to come to find out. E komo mai.
