There was a lot of construction going on down below. they store water there but since they built the dam a lot of debris and sentiment has developed from storm runoff. My wife and i was talking to a man from the county a couple of years ago, and he said this project would take 4 or 5 years to complete. This location is used for 4x4 and off road vehicles on Saturday and Sundays from 8 am -4 pm , you see people doing crazy things with there vehicles. some times my wife and I would stand there for 20 or more minutes and be entertained. Just before you get to East Fork Bridge there is a turn off for Burro Canyon Shooting Park . Where you can shoot shot guns or riffles or pistols. [ Address is 22100 East Fork Road Azusa ca. 91702. Alright so then I turned right on Highway 39 towards crystal Lake. I drove to the end of Highway 39.they shut it down permanently in 1978 due to massive mud and rock slides during heavy winter storms.
