Sindiran Jenaka Kang Dedi Mulyadi ke PLN Imbas Pemadaman Listrik Bergilir: Telat Bayar Digunting
West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi highlighted the impact of rolling blackouts in several regions and assessed that these conditions could disrupt industrial activity and the local economy. Dedi made this statement at Bale Pakuan, Bandung City, Monday (June 22, 2026), in response to the power outage controversy that has been complained about by various parties. Dedi hopes that PLN can quickly resolve the issue to prevent a broader impact on economic activity, particularly the industrial sector. He explained that rolling blackouts can cause significant losses for the industrial sector because production processes can suddenly stop. This situation, he said, has the potential to cause production failures, delays in orders, and even financial losses for businesses. "Rolling blackouts disrupt the industrial system from a macro perspective. If one factory loses power, all production can stop, and that means losses. Orders can also be delayed," said Dedi. Dedi also added that the impact of power outages is felt not only by large industries but also by micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that depend on electricity for their business activities. He emphasized that power outages can impact the economy broadly, both at the micro and macro levels, especially amidst the still-challenging global economic conditions. Responding to the possibility of a lawsuit against PLN, Dedi stated that this is the right of every consumer. He then quipped that there is a reciprocal relationship between customers and electricity service providers. "Yes, that's the right of every consumer. Because PLN is an independent state-owned enterprise. There's a reciprocal relationship, right? If we're late paying, we're also likely to get our bills cut," he said sarcastically.
