How to make build a step-by-step Your Own Wood Chipper! Homemade

In this video, you’ll follow the entire process of building a wood chipper that transforms wood into sawdust. From the design to the final tests, I show every step of the manufacturing and assembly of this machine, built entirely on my channel Projects and Fun. The project involved several stages, including cutting, machining, welding, and fine-tuning, all done with precise fabrication techniques and tools. Check out the step-by-step build: 3D Design: The build began with a detailed design of the machine in a full project creation software, ensuring that all parts would fit together perfectly. Band Saw Cutting: Various materials such as steel, angle iron, tubes, and plates were cut using the band saw to create the frame of the chipper. CNC Machining: I used the CNC machine to precisely machine parts like the blade holder disk from high-strength steel alloy. Turning Parts: I turned key components like the main pulley and the shaft for the blade holder disk, using steel and aluminum alloys for durability and precision. Plasma Cutting: The plasma cutter was used to cut high-alloy steel sheets that form the chipper’s circular casing. Rolling and Sifting: Steel sheets were rolled to create the sieve, an essential part of filtering the sawdust. MIG-MAG and Stick Welding: I performed MIG-MAG welding and stick welding to join various parts, including the blade holder disk, the main shaft, the casing, and the frame. Final Assembly: All parts were carefully assembled to ensure the machine was ready for optimal performance. Final Test: The machine was tested with different types of wood branches, including one with a 5.5 cm diameter, to check its grinding efficiency and performance. In this build, I used a 3 kW (230 V) single-phase electric motor for initial testing, but soon the machine will be upgraded to a 7-horsepower gasoline engine, providing more power to handle larger logs.
