Pilot Mountain North Carolina: The Spooky Reality Of Hiking A Mountain Trail After A Massive Forest I spent a day hiking a path at Pilot Mountain State Park in North Carolina. The trails all over the mountain had been consumed by a huge forest fire the month before. What did it look like? I'll show you. I was shocked to see half the mountain in disarray. It wasn't what I was expecting but it was a really great hike. I'll take you through some motivation to push yourself, give a tour of the place, explain 6 ways to survive a wildfire and give a little insight along the way. This mountain is about an hour and half from Charlotte, NC and it was worth the drive for sure.
