#madrid #madridcapital #madridspain #valdebebas #granpremio #formula1 Another visit to MADRING and we're seeing new elements typical of a Formula 1 circuit that are easy to identify even for those unfamiliar with the subject. Perhaps the most notable is the first kerb. It's located on the inside of Turn 17 and is red, yellow, and white. During the drive, I saw another one near Turn 1, although it wasn't as visible as the first. This demonstrates the constant progress on this great project, because you can't understand a Formula 1 circuit without kerbs. Many more will have to appear, and I imagine we'll see them in areas with good visibility. The other important element that has appeared in many parts of the circuit is the safety barriers. They're very distinctive; you can see them at circuits like Singapore or Jeddah, and right now they're along the banks of the Seine, on the start/finish straight, and in many parts of the permanent section of the circuit in Valdebebas. It doesn't seem like it will take them long, judging by what I saw today on the start/finish straight, where they set up quite a few in just a few minutes. We're three months away from the first free practice session, and I don't think the race will be in any danger. I have a bit more doubts about everything related to the hospitality areas (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling). Today, near turn 13, I saw the so-called Ignition Club, but they've only just started setting it up, and although I imagine they'll work quickly, time is of the essence. You can buy tickets for that hospitality area, and it's really expensive, haha. But oh well, those with deep pockets will go there; that's not me. You can't see much from the rooftop terrace, and that seems a bit strange to me. I don't know if those things will arrive on time or not; I imagine they will because there's a lot of money at stake. From the easternmost area, along Alejandro de la Sota, everything looks similar, with a lot of asphalt and accumulated materials. Again, I don't yet know if it will be an amenities area for the general public, or if there will be parking, or what it will be. There aren't many changes visible these days, but I imagine we'll see them soon. The access roads from the eastern area aren't finished yet, and I hope they don't take too long to complete them because they will be excellent locations for filming. I haven't seen any sign of the grandstands yet, although the initial work is already visible in the parking area along the finish straight. They will be temporary grandstands, obviously, because the parking area can only be occupied temporarily. But they are only starting work on the base, nothing significant. And in the Valdebebas area, I haven't seen anything that leads me to believe we'll see the grandstands anytime soon, although I understand that, being temporary, they could be installed very quickly. Finally, regarding the paddock, both sections are very far along. I'd even venture to say that the section next to Hall 2 has almost caught up with the other one, next to Hall 1. You can see many windows and glass panels on the first two floors, while they continue working on the pit boxes on the ground floor. I don't think there will be any problem finishing on time, given how much progress they've made in the last two months, where we've gone from having a sort of vacant lot to having fully constructed buildings.
