BUNG MUAN / MOUNT SEREMBU | Retracing Brooke's & Wallace's Footsteps

Sir James Brooke, the White Rajah of Sarawak built a cottage on Mount Serembu. He invited Sir Alfred Russel Wallace to visit him here, in the Serembu region in Sarawak, Borneo, Malaysia. Other important people visited this site as well, including Oduordo Beccari. Bung Muan is a 500m mountain near Siniawan, some 30km from Sarawak's capital Kuching. Other names for the mountain are Mount Serembu and Bukit Peninjau. It took us 3 hours to reach the summit of Bung Muan, and enjoyed the tropical rainforest of Borneo. There is a lot of bamboo on this mountain, as described in Sir Alfred Russel Wallace's book The Malay Archipelago. Please like this video and Subscribe to the Global Gibbon Channel!
