My first solo adventure of this kind in La Vérendrye Park, at the Cabonga Reservoir. I managed pretty well overall, but I made a few bad decisions that could have turned out badly. This trip reminded me how important it is to be well-prepared when heading out alone into the wilderness. The fishing wasn't great. Kayaking limited my reach, which made things more difficult. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful experience that I would repeat without hesitation. Wild camping, solitude, challenges, and nature—it was an adventure I won't soon forget!
