Los Betabloqueadores
Carvedilol, bisoprolol, metoprolol, nebivolol, and propranolol belong to a group of medications that are very useful for heart problems. They are helpful, although not first-line, for hypertension, but almost essential for exertional angina, after a heart attack, in rapid arrhythmias, etc. It's possible that almost all my patients will need some type of beta-blocker. They cause bradycardia, or a slower heart rate; this is important, and we often look for this effect when prescribing them. In this video, I explain the most important aspects of these very gentle medications.
