For textile artist Yu Mei Huang, the act of creation is a slow, rhythmic dialogue. The film documents Yu Mei’s intimate approach to natural dyeing and knitting, moving beyond the technical to capture the soul of the handcraft. “The film explores how traditional textile techniques can carry memory,” Köroğlu observes. It is a study of the "making" as much as the "maker," highlighting the meditative rhythms that define Yu Mei’s practice. Can Köroğlu (b. 1991, Istanbul) is a London-based filmmaker and visual artist whose practice sits at the intersection of memory and family. A graduate of the London Film School, his work is often drawn to the subtle illusions of daily life—capturing moments that feel both familiar and ethereal. For this collaboration, his cinematic eye brings a tranquil precision to the tactile world of textiles, honoring the intentionality that defines the Casa Far collective.
