Metro and Freight Trains at the New Mordialloc Station

Mordialloc station, on the Frankston line in Melbourne's south east, was rebuilt in 2026 and reopened on May 21 as part of the Level Crossing Removal Project. The new elevated station replaced the old 1881 station with the removal of three level crossings at Bear Street, McDonald Street and nearby Station Street in Aspendale. The premium station has an island platform with entrances at both ends and is fully functional despite much work, mainly ground level, to be done. This video shows a few X'Trapolis, Siemens and Comeng trains in action around midday on a cold and windy early winter's day. We also see an appearance by the Long Island steel freight train on the down Filmed June 2026
