I think I went to this Filipino festival because I was homesick for a country that is not even officially my home 🥹 Sounds strange, but I really missed the Philippines. I missed the food, the music, the language, the smiles, the way people make you feel welcome .. So I went to the Ube Festival in Cologne. And when I saw the jeepney, heard Tagalog around me, smelled Filipino food, saw all these happy faces… I was like: okay, this is why I came.
