October visit to dahlia trials beds at RHS Wisley - come along for great new varieties and ideas x
Join flower farmer and florist for the final visit of the year to the dahlia trials at RHS Wisley. With lots of lovely new varieties to consider for the cut flower patch, a little tour of the Wisley gardens, and a quick dip into Georgie's own dahlia collection at the end of the clip, this is proper dahlia worship time, especially with very low temperatures if not an actual frost forecast for us here in Somerset and across much of the UK this weekend. Enjoy! Ps the tall orange person behind the alstroemeria is NOT a monarda - it’s leonotis leonorus - they are both mint family - the leonotis is a beauty and I will add it to my perennials list x Pps the reason I don't take the train is that it would take longer and cost more than driving, and the train is even more unreliable than the A303 on which accidents on both the way up and way back added an hour each way to the journey today. For an extended ad-free version of this clip, all the info re the redesign of the flower farm and the new studio being created in the field, and all Georgie's new clips with extra tips, news and regular live at 5s, do join her YouTube club.
