Miles Between Brothers

This song is dedicated to Thorsten, Jo, and the three of us. When I look back on Freedom Shield 26-I, I won't remember the schedules, the long days, or the challenges first. I'll remember you. Sure, we had our rough moments. Not every decision made sense, and not every day went according to plan. But when I think about it now, there was far more sunshine than storm clouds. We were fortunate to be part of a real team. Everyone knew the mission. Everyone pulled their weight. Nobody needed to be reminded why our job mattered. That's what made leading this team so easy—because trust, respect, and true brotherhood were there every single day. Together we covered countless miles across Lithuania—through Rokantiškės, Nemenčinė, Rukla, and Pabradė. We watched the sun rise over the forests and lakes, shared miles of conversations, laughed more than we complained, and created memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. This mission will always hold a special place in my story—not because of the work we did, but because of the men I was privileged to do it with. Thorsten, Jo—you both did an outstanding job. I'm proud to have shared this road with you. Thank you for your commitment, your reliability, your friendship, and for making every mile worthwhile. I hope this song reminds you of everything we experienced together and of the bond we built along the way. Stay exactly the men you are. Take care of yourselves. And thank you for one hell of a great time. Your brother, Markus Created by Lumix Sounds 63 © All Rights Reserved
