1 Quick Django Reinhardt Lick (Over dominant chords!)

Hey everyone! Today's a short one — just a quick Django lick, but don't let that fool you. This is something he goes back to again and again over dominant chords, and once you hear it you'll start noticing it everywhere. Here's a fun piece of trivia: I've heard Coleman Hawkins play this same lick, and my theory is Django picked it up from him. They recorded and performed together, and if you dig into it, Django was clearly listening — a lot of his lines have that Coleman DNA in them. Coleman doesn't always get the credit he deserves. People tend to jump straight from the swing era to Lester Young and Charlie Parker, but Hawkins was a giant, and his influence runs deeper than most people realize.
