Twisted Metal 3 - 25 Years Later

Twisted Metal 3 released in 1998 for the PlayStation 1. It was the first game in the series to be developed by a different studio from the first 2 games. 989 Studios took the reins on short notice and delivered a fully-featured Twisted Metal entry within a year. Despite what 989 Studios accomplished in so little time, the game was universally panned by critics and fans alike at the time of its release. I argue that it didn't deserve a fraction of the disdain that it got. The worst thing you can say about this game is that the movies were horrid, which is fair, but that doesn't make the game any less fun. If anything, it just adds meme material.
