On July 18th, we held the Metropolitan Volks Pilgrimage to Aparecida do Norte, the National Shrine of Aparecida. This ride in Beetles and air-cooled derivatives was a way of giving thanks and asking for a blessing for another year. Whenever I buy a car, I take it to the Basilica of Aparecida to wash it with holy water and have it blessed so it can drive smoothly on the roads of our Brazil.
