This time, we visited British Hills with actor Bunken Suzuki. Bunken-san appeared in the "Rubbish Pick-up Journey" segment of FCT Fukushima Chuo Television's @fctchannel TV program "Goji Tere Chu!" until 2024, where he would walk around Fukushima Prefecture picking up rubbish. Calling the collected rubbish "scraps of hope," he aims for a litter-free society and has expanded his activities in various ways, both through the TV program and in collaboration with local communities. On this day, in between filming for the TGV segment, Papa and Isla had lunch together with Bunken-sean and the crew at the Ascot Tea Room and then showed them around British Hills. British Hills, located deep in the mountains of Fukushima Prefecture, is the "Britain that anyone can visit without a passport." It was used in the Japanese TV drama “Boys Over Flowers” as the residence of Domyoji Tsukasa, played by Arashi's Matsujun, as well as for various other dramas, movies, and commercials. At British Hills, you can enjoy meals at several locations: the Master’s Hall "Refectory” which is reminiscent of the dining hall in Harry Potter (bookings required); the Falstaff Pub where you can enjoy authentic British fish and chips; and the Ascot Tea Room, where you can enjoy luxurious afternoon tea, and delicious scones. Located deep in the mountains at an altitude of 1,000m, it is a great place to escape the heat in the summer and enjoy a winter wonderland in the winter.
