ChinnyVision - Ep 522 - Masters Of The Universe: The Movie - Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, C64, Atari ST

Take a popular cartoon series, and try and turn it into a big action film. What could go wrong? Well it did for He-Man in Masters Of The Universe. Instead of Eternia, the action takes place in a car park in the USA and everything just feels wrong. Not a good start for Gremlin who had to try and convert a mess of a film into a game. Anyway, you get to play as He-Man with his magic sword and try and defeat Skeleton. No Battle Cat or Orko in sight though,. Released in 1987 on the Spectrum, C64, Amstrad CPC and Atari ST, this game is the kind of thing Ocean would do so much better just a few years later.
