Welcome back to City Girl Village Life Africa! ❤️ Today’s video takes you into another peaceful and heartwarming evening in our African village, where family, love, teamwork, and delicious homemade food come together. As the sun began to set, everyone gathered in the compound to relax, chat, and enjoy each other’s company. The children played nearby while our African village mom, Ebere, her husband Sunday Okeke, my co-wife, and Aunty Nkemdilim shared stories and laughter. I came out of the kitchen with the ingredients to prepare dinner—brown beans and ripe plantains. Just when I thought everything was enough, my co-wife Ebere noticed the beans looked too small for our large family. She immediately suggested adding more so everyone could eat comfortably. The children quickly helped bring the remaining beans, showing the beautiful spirit of teamwork that makes village life so special. My husband, Sunday Okeke, even joined me in picking the beans before I fetched fresh water from the well to begin cooking. Meanwhile, Chibuike returned home after fetching drinking water from the village water collection point, while Ebere continued processing fresh pap for the family. After washing the beans thoroughly, I cooked them over a traditional firewood stove. Once they were half-cooked, I washed them again before returning them to the fire, a common method that helps produce soft, delicious beans. Later, I added fresh ripe plantains along with carefully selected local ingredients, allowing everything to simmer slowly until perfectly cooked. To make the evening meal even more special, I also prepared a rich and spicy bush meat pepper soup. The aroma filled the compound as everyone eagerly waited for dinner. Finally, the food was ready. The family gathered together to enjoy the delicious beans and sweet plantains alongside the flavorful bush meat pepper soup. Watching everyone eat happily, laugh together, and appreciate a simple homemade meal reminds us that true happiness is often found in family, love, and the peaceful beauty of African village life.
